Mason DUI Lawyer – Jeremiah Denslow

Have you been charged with drinking and driving in the Cincinnati suburb of Mason or Deerfield Township?  If so, you’re probably searching for an experienced Mason DUI lawyer. You will likely be summoned for a court appearance in Mason Municipal Court located at 5950 South Mason Montgomery Road in Mason, Ohio. The Mason Municipal Court handles Mason DUI citations issued by the Mason Police Department, Warren County Sheriff’s Office Deerfield Township subdivision and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

If you’ve been charged with a Mason DUI, ask yourself the following questions:

  • Do you want to be represented by a Mason DUI lawyer who handles mostly DUI cases instead of a lawyer who handles just a few DUI cases every year?
  • Would you like your Mason DUI lawyer to be recognized by lawyer advocacy groups like National Advocacy for DUI Defense, Super Lawyers, the National Trial Lawyers, and Ohio DUI Attorneys.net?
  • Would you prefer a Mason DUI lawyer who primarily focuses his practice on DUI defense instead of a DUI attorney who also handles cases in personal injury, estate planning, probate, domestic relations, and child custody?
  • Would you like your Mason DUI lawyer to set a strict limit on the number of cases he accepts so that he can give your case the time and attention that it deserves?
  • Do you want to be represented by a Mason DUI lawyer  who has a history of getting the majority of charges against his clients dismissed/reduced?

If you answered yes to each of these questions, keep reading. Jeremiah Denslow is an experienced Mason DUI lawyer who represents DUI clients in Hamilton, Warren, Butler, and Clermont counties. Jeremiah structures his Mason DUI defense practice using a very simple formula: (a) a concentrated focus and dedication to DUI defense; (b) a concentrated focus and dedication to Ohio courts; and (c) a concentrated focus and dedication to limiting the number of clients he accepts. That’s pretty rare. Most Mason DUI lawyers structure their practice differently. In fact, most DUI lawyers in the state do as well. The large majority of Mason DUI lawyers handle cases in many practice areas, including domestic relations, child custody, probate, estate planning, personal injury and criminal defense. In addition, they don’t limit the number of cases they take.

Jeremiah’s practice is extremely focused on DUI defense which helps him stay on top of DUI laws, regulations, emerging case law and DUI defense strategies. Limiting the number of cases he accepts allows Jeremiah to devote more time and attention to each case. That makes Jeremiah a Mason DUI lawyer you can trust to handle any DUI case, no matter how complex.

The Basics of Mason Ohio DUI and Drinking and Driving Defense

Any Mason DUI lawyer can tell you that operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (OVI) and driving under the influence (DUI) are common phrases people use when talking about the law that prohibits drinking and driving in Mason Ohio. It is also sometimes called DWI, or driving while impaired. The law makes it illegal to drive a vehicle while generally impaired or drive a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of over .0.07%, also called a “per se” Mason DUI. In addition, Mason DUI regulations prohibit a high tier drinking and driving charge, where a Mason DUI driver has a high blood alcohol concentration of over 0.16%.

In Mason and the rest of Ohio, DUI is considered a fairly serious charge that carries fairly serious penalties. How serious?  A Mason DUI carries mandatory jail time—anywhere from three days up to six months, even for a first offense. It also carries a mandatory driver’s license suspension anywhere up to three years and a mandatory fine that can exceed $1000 but can be no less than $375. The Mason DUI Court will typically require a DUI defendant to take a drug/alcohol assessment and follow any recommendations from the assessment. That can mean a DUI defendant can be court ordered to attend a Mason DUI treatment program like weekly counseling or attendance at AA meetings. In addition, the Mason DUI court can force you to obtain special DUI license plates onto any vehicle you drive and require you to install a device on your car called an ignition interlock that will check your blood alcohol content every time you start your car. These devices can be expensive and require regular monitoring by the court.

Fortunately, the penalties discussed above only apply to drivers who are convicted of DUI. An experienced Mason DUI lawyer may be able to prevent that from happening. If you are facing DUI charges in Mason Municipal Court or the surrounding area, it’s important to contact a top Mason DUI lawyer to see if he can get the case dismissed or reduced to something less serious that doesn’t carry mandatory jail time, license suspension and special Mason DUI license plates.
