Hello, I'm Jeremiah Denslow....
a Hamilton Defense Attorney.
I represent people facing
DUI and other criminal charges.
I have been named one of Ohio's top
DUI and criminal defense lawyers.
Using a simple formula,
I have successfully represented hundreds
of clients facing serious charges....
....usually without going to trial.
If you want to be my next success story,
call me at 513-268-4000 or 937-242-6400.
If you answered yes to each of those questions, keep reading. Jeremiah Denslow is a Hamilton DUI Attorney who represents DUI clients in Hamilton, Butler, Warren, Clermont and Clinton Counties. His DUI defense practice gets results by utilizing a simple formula: (a) a concentrated focus and dedication to DUI defense; (b) a concentrated focus and dedication to Ohio courts; and (c) a concentrated focus and dedication to limiting the number of clients he accepts. If you take a moment to consider the formula, it’s easy to see why he gets results in DUI cases. He has an extremely focused practice and accepts fewer clients than most other Ohio DUI lawyers. That translates to more attention for each client; better outcomes for each client; and a higher rate of satisfaction among most clients.
If you would like to learn a little more about DUI defense in the city of Hamilton, a good starting point would be some clarification on what constitutes a DUI. Any Hamilton DUI Attorney can tell you that operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (OVI), driving under the influence (DUI), and driving a vehicle while impaired (DWI), are common terms referring to the general rule against drinking and driving in Hamilton and elsewhere in the state of Ohio. Ohio Revised Code 4511.19 encompasses the criminal/traffic offenses of drinking and driving to the point of impairment as well as drinking and driving with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.08% or higher, also called a per se DUI. In addition, Hamilton Ohio has a high tier drinking and driving charge, aka super DUI, where a drunk driver tests at an elevated BAC concentration of above 0.17%.
In Hamilton, a DUI is considered a serious charge that can result in serious penalties if the driver is convicted. How serious? For starters, a Hamilton DUI carries a mandatory jail sentence anywhere from three days to six months, even if it’s the offender’ s first conviction for drinking and driving. It also carries a mandatory Ohio license suspension anywhere from six months up to three years and a mandatory fine up to $1075 plus court costs. In addition, Hamilton Ohio DUI courts can order DUI defendants to complete a substance abuse treatment program and place specially marked DUI license plates onto a defendant’s vehicle. For Hamilton drinking and driving defendants with prior Ohio DUI convictions on their records, the penalties are much more severe—longer jail sentences, more expensive monetary fines, lengthier driver license suspensions and many ancillary consequences as well. Unfortunately, Hamilton Ohio DUI judges do not have the discretion to go below the mandatory minimum sentences set by Ohio statute in a Hamilton DUI case.
However, it’s important to point out that the consequences are only applicable when the Hamilton DUI driver is convicted of the charge. An experienced Hamilton DUI Attorney can often prevent that from happening. If you have a DUI case, it’s important to contact a top Hamilton DUI Attorney to see if he can get the case reduced to a lesser offense or dismissed altogether.
